  • I rarely build cav, and never this many, but Com lost most of them taking Irk and Rus has trenches guarded by conscripts, which is not cost effective to kill with gas. Cavs cost the same as gas, attack at 2 with art support, but stay alive to take hits for the art. And the defending conscripts won’t inflict that many hits. I was surprised that Rus didn’t move the 3 conscripts from Don > Cauc. The Russian serfs should rebel after digging 15 trenches. It’s never wise to rush German machine gun nests at poor odds. It didn’t help that the dice favored me on the second round of UK attacks in Rhod and GNG. Too bad for me that I hadn’t built any art in GNG.


  • Learned something new about 1914. The damaged G trench in GNG repaired itself at the end of Brit turn. Never noticed a trench repair itself, and didn’t even wait until G’s turn.

  • Hadn’t planned to take Belgium, just 1 round to kill most units and then retreat to Champ. But that’s okay. UK could have landed ten troops, built 3 more and 3 trenches. So at least now I get another factory and prevent UK from building on the continent. France can move most units into Champ, including 11 HG. So G can’t counterattack. Got rid of Rus threat in Norway. G is 0-18 tech dice. Really hinders me. Aus has barrage and gas, which will give it great advantage.
