I’m actually doing reasonably well against Trulpen although I think he may also nab a pacific win, but at least I actually am at Germany’s throat in that one.     @TheShrike It was a good game! I think going 100% against germany cost you in the pacific, once japan gets rolling its difficult to stop and unfortunately leaving expensive units within reach of the german fast movers cost russia dearly.


  • Yes, I did better in my other game, was a round behind and learned important lessons but stil befell the same fate. I almost wonder if KJF is easier; all you have to do is hold Cairo OR Moscow or retake Paris in time whereas with only 10-20% of US production going to the pacific, Japan just goes bonkers. How do you prefer to pilot allies?

  • I will message you, I will definitely play again. I want to finish up the games I’m in though. I definitely think playing four at once was too many. And I’m often trying to sneak a turn in when my small children are running around. Too much distraction for effective play. And I want to study the buys and moves of you and my other opponents to get an idea of the tempo at the competitive level. Very different from screwing around with mates.

    @TheShrike For sure…I lost quite a few games last year due to distractions and silly moves so thats fine.

    As far as allied play goes it is a mainly reaction game I feel…try to keep the italians contained and push for the N.O.s to keep income high for the western allies and try to keep the japanese focussed on retaining the DEI rather than giving them free rein in the South Pac…but the axis do have the edge
