[Anniversary Ed.] More Sea Zones between Japan and Egypt?

Anyone playing anniversary with modern rules and/or units from 1942.2 or G40??
Any tips for balancing the game and/or changing the initial setup??

I’m excited to see the game being re-released but I like the modern rules for AA guns and tanks too much to go back I think, and I’m sure adding the units from G40 would be cool too.

It totally imbalanced toward allies… If you play OOB ( not LHGC version) this would track toward allied advantage. To balance you start with LHGC, and move existing units around for both sides, not just add 20 IPC to allies.

Ok yes. But the mummy unit is indestructible and operates like a berserker unit, randomly strangling any and all infantry based on a random die roll. Each turn it moves one space

I have made a change to the destroyers in my proposal on the Sea Unit Rebalancing thread (inspired by DK house rules).

LOL as fun as that would be… my intention is to keep the final posted version of the ruleset, as uncomplicated as possible.  Keeping true to the spirit of FUNCTIONAL axis and allies.

Great concept btw though,  there are still clearance divers finding WWII mines today.

Oh yes, now I dismember, I mean remember. We are starting a house rule game monday and I want to see a more binding non-aggression pact between Japan and the Soviets.

actually I was Japan so I was pretty happy with his decision :mrgreen:
