That’s fine. Thanks for the update.
TripleA 1.9.0.0 Released
-
Ok, cool. Just want to make sure it isn’t me.
-
Good to know simon. Should help diagnose the problem I would think
-
The scramble-box issue on Macs has been fixed. Just download the latest version of TripleA.
-
How do I find out which download I need…the 32 bit or the 64 bit?
-
Triplea 1.9.0.0.3393 has a map for Europe v1 but not Europe 1940 v2. Triplea 1.8.0.9 has Europe 1940 v2. Does this mean I will have to stick with 1.8.0.9 in order to play the latest version of Europe?

If you are on Windows it is somewhere under computer - properties.

I don’t know what you mean. I see 3 maps - Original, Sea Lion Balanced and 2nd Edition. Perhaps try downloading the map again?

Actually it is there:
Start TripleA, hit “Download Maps” and under “High Quality - Available” you will find “World War II Europe”.
You can easily verify by the map-image and info text showing up, that this is the version you are looking for.
Once installed, you have got first and second edition of Europe 1940 (as well as a “Sealion” mod) to be found when hitting “Select Map”.You will find the TripleA-map for the “old” Europe edition under “Experimental”, called just “Europe”.
HTH :-)

Thanks, I installed Europe and v2 also became available.

Never mind, fixed it.
Stickied so people can find the download easier.

Indeed, though this is not the only TripleA-related sticky that needs an update.

Have you tried PMing Gargantua and asking him to edit his post?

Have now.

Two questions:
Is there any plans on adding A&A 1914 to the TripleA line up?
Can someone set up 270BC map as a free for all?

There have been plans for years… but the game mechanics of 1914 are too different from those of the other A&A games.
So it would not be enough to create just another map. The game engine would need too many changes, too.
That is why it has never been realized until today, IMHO.In case of deeper interest, just go to http://tripleadev.1671093.n2.nabble.com/ enter “1914” into the search box and you will see…

Try the attached xml file, to be placed into the games-subfolder of your 270BC installation (side by side to the present xml).

Yeah, there are a few WWI maps and modes in there, already. Domination 1914: No Man’s Land is pretty great, as well as Great War. However, now, with the updated client, I cannot get a Lebowski edition one that I loved, from before. It had playable nations such as Portugal and China, etc. Otherwise, the few I mentioned are fun, but they are on the same engine and ruleset (not like 1914 one roll per combat/defense per round).

Available via the ingame downloader, too.
At least it covers WWI.HTH :-)

Thanks, brother.
