I have an idea for a piece to include. Not sure if it would fit right in the next Axis Minors set or perhaps a possible future German expansion set.
It’s the Me-323 Gigant transport plane, the largest load bearing plane of the war.
-
what happened to the bi-plane?
-
what happened to the bi-plane?
Bi-plane and Panzer IV was moved to the Second Axis Minor set.
-
I remember the bi-plane, the He-51 I believe, was originally slated to be in the first Axis Minors set but you said the mold was too difficult to make. So it was replaced with the Fw-190. I take it things have improved to make the mold easier?

A good move IMHO.

We figured out how to do it. It was pushed from this set because this set is only being done in black and grey. We wanted all Minors to have the He-51 so we saved it for the next Minors set.

Wasn’t the Elephant suppose to be part of the Germany set also?
speaking of bi-planes… is there any plans to do a Swordfish?
-
I think the Elephant was discussed as a possible piece but didn’t make the final cut. Perhaps Coach will include it in the next German set.
Swordfish torpedo planes would be cool for Britain if they have conquered making bi-planes. Then you would REALLY do a Taranto raid.
By the way, I checked out the new US pieces in alternate colors against some of the blonde, tan and sea foam/celery green UK pieces and grey ANZAC pieces from my sample set. The coloring is right on target on all counts. The only real difference is that Coach’s pieces have more of a dull appearance, like they were sprayed with dull cote, while the OOB pieces are a little shinier like they were sprayed with gloss cote. I think it’s simply a matter of the type of plastic used or perhaps slight differences in the molding process.
Still get a kick out of seeing M-5 Stuart tanks and Nevada class Battleships in light blue. -
Elefant and Swordfish would be fantastic sculpts.

I was looking at the HBG website a moment ago and I noticed what I think is a new feature: a table of HBG battle piece sculpts by colour, with a clickable square depicting each colour. Clicking a given square will display the groups of pieces available in that colour. A very useful feature which has immediately rendered obsolete the home-made list I was using to keep track of this information for myself.

Yes, it was in response to AAA forum members asking for it.
We always try to keep improving our site and listen to our fans for improvements.
Thank you for helping us out!
