In the North Atlantic Sea Zone, I actually would have chosen the transport as a casualty when your sub hit, and then submerged my sub, so I’ll put back the Russian sub.

I have to shut this game down. I have to write a final examination, administer it and grade it, by the time I am done with that, I’ll have to get my curriculum together for the new school year.
I did discover that abandoning England does not help the SJF campaign, and you did spring something that could EASILY be blocked for a minimal 16 IPC instead of having to defend against it, so that would never happen. I do think the Allies are in prime position to win this still as all they have to do is not lose and they will win.

WHAT? No way. There’s now way allies will win this game and strongly think you want to shut it off because I’ll so demonstrate that US all Pacific tactic is a sure fail. In Pacific both of US fleets are doomed.
In Europe, both London and Egypt won’t ever be liberated, with Germany collecting twice as much as Russia from next turn and on, it’s just a matter of 3-4 turns before 2 of his cities fall.
If you’re so confident to win, pass the game to ANYONE, and I’m positive I’ll easily win. The game is done, you’re right, but it’s an Axis win. In fact, I have just one doubt… is to know if I’ll win in Europe or in Pacific first, I’m not sure, but in both case it’s within 5 turns.

I have reposted the last post because it mysteriously disapeared… did you use your moderate rights to mute me?
-
… and you claiming the need to shut this game is as mysterious. You claim, post after post, that alpha+2 is broken, that you own so many suggestions to Harry about how the game should be.
Then I claim otherwise, I claim not only that the game is not broken, but your tactic is a sure lost.
To settle it, I challenge you to prove your point. To prove that the game is broken by an US all pacific tactic as you think. Not only you lost against Jercules, but you are also loosing this game and furthermore you shut is off and even worse it seems can’t even prove my point by behing muted.
So shoking.

1 perhaps loss, and 1 loss, out of 40 + games hardly proves the rule, especially when I tried things I never did before like abandoning England to see if I could keep Italy down, etc.
If you want to pick up a game in September and try your luck again, fine. I’ve already convinced Larry because he’s devicing new rules to make up for it. Try it yourself, that’s the only way for YOU to test it. Try it against a player.

(…) pass the game to ANYONE, and I’m positive I’ll easily win.
I stand on this. You want another chance to prove your point? Fine, I’m thrilled to play against the USA all pacific tactic again. But first admit your defeat here or carry on with this game, now or in September, opt to you.
I never refuse a challenge. To be fair, this game must be over before starting new one.

The game is over. I cannot keep a train of thought on a strategy without activity for multiple weeks on end, I need to post a round periodically just so I can keep the current tactical situation in mind.
If you want to play again, I’ll have to do it later. At the very least, once I get the brackets together for the tournament. Not to mention, I have to create a final examination to give to my class on Thursday this week, so the absolute, ABSOLUTE first opportunity to rehash this would be Friday.
If you like, I can go more mainstream on the tactics. It was interesting to see what could be done with England, and the attack on Canada was a surprise, one that won’t happen again. (As I said, 16 IPC would have derailed that indefinitely.)
-
I don’t mind to carry on only 2 months from now, but sure thing I won’t play another game with you unless you forfeit or continu this game. (Tournament excluded, obviously)

I did, above. I conceeded the game to end it so I can focus on work for the next week and setting up the tournament right after.
If you want to play really slowely over the next couple of weeks, we could start the second game on Friday and I can refrain from some of the more esoteric ideas I tried in this one. But for now, I am way too busy to focus on the 3 games i have going right now (I am not counting the game with gamerman01 because there has not been a move in a very long time.)
