@CWO-Marc
Thanks for your thoughts. I intend to revise the top posts for this and the other two “expansion posts” sometime this weekend, I now have some food for thought.
Thanks again!

Wow are the pre-orders going to ship in the next week. I am stoked. It is finally here. Outstanding.
The final product looks great - can’t wait to receive my order and see the pieces in person. :-D
On a side note, I do hope that in the event that this project is financially successful, FMG will consider producing extra unit types, including a Pre-War Battleship, Light or Escort Carrier, Heavy (4-Engined?) Bomber, Self-Propelled Artillery, and maybe even a third Tank/Tank Destroyer option for each nation. (Of course, coachofmany could already be making some of these himself).
Hmm… not sure I’d put too much faith in what shade they appear to be on your computer screen, my wife’s a photographer and has went through great lengths to calibrate the system’s colors with the subject matter - but I still see slight differences. Just say’in (and problem solved if you paint 'em).
Very true. The quality of your video chip/card can make a difference as well as the brightness, color and contrast setting on your computer.

So you are saying that the Italian units we see in the pic may not be as dark as they look there? Or may be darker? Well, I guess I will just have to wait and see when I get mine. No matter what shade of brown they are, I still want then very badly.

We are developing a relation ship with HistoricalBoardGaming.com. We will do the main sets, and they will do all the expansions and additional sets. This is very expensive and time consuming. We are glad to have the Help.

Excellent, excellent. 8-) I have noticed that there has been a great deal of cooperation and coordination between Field Marshall Games and Historical Board Gaming (coachofmany); in the end, I believe that this would benefit both of your companies, and the AAM boardgaming (and the general WWII-boardgaming community) as a whole.
Right now, it appears that HBG is concentrating on land units, but if the demand is present, I hope coachofmany will consider producing at least a light or escort carrier for each major nation, together with a pre-war battleship. In relation to these two specific units types, is it possible that FMG will coordinate with HBG to split up the units in an appropriate manner? For example, perhaps FMG could concentrate on modern BBs and fleet CV’s, and HBG could produce a pre-war BB units and a CVE/CVL unit. In the case of the USSR, for example, FMG could produce a Soyuz-class BB and ‘Project 72’-class CV, while HBG could produce a Gangut-class BB and ‘Project 71’-class CVL. (As a side note, there are plenty of line drawings of the Soyuz-class, Project 72, and Project 71 online to serve as guides for sculpts).
[Also, I realize that I have not really distinguished between a CVE or CVL class of unit; it remains to be concluded whether such a class should be CVE, CVL, CVE/CVL, or separate CVE + CVL.]

You didn’t miss a pre-order for Germany. When the Italians go out I believe he will take orders for Germany.

This is good news indeed. If your sets will be designed to complement each other, one thing that will need to be worked out is making sure that the size and colour / shade of the units match each other well, so they’ll be fully compatible.
From the pics I have seen on HBG’s site and his Facebook page, the size looks to be compatible to OOB and FMG pieces, maybe even more so to FMG since I think they are just slightly larger than OOB. Coach hasn’t gotten any finished color examples yet and exact color matching is very difficult, but I’m pretty sure he will get them color compatible as well. Plus, since the HBG pieces are meant as a supplement to the FMG sets, it probably wouldn’t hurt if the color shading wasn’t 100% exact. Basically, FMG is making the major part of the armed forces and HBG is making more specialized units.
Dang it! Now I’m as anxious to see HBG’s pieces as I am to see FMG’s pieces. Plus the new combat dice! There is just too many things to want! I’m going crazy with wanting stuff now!
same but you probably have money
hey fmg if i pre order the italy now(this weekend) will i get the first batch? or is that offer over? same w/ the combat dice

The grey from the revised game are close to the shade of FMG grey dice.
Tomorrow is the first of June, so what is going on with our orders. Do we have another unexpected delay, or is victory just around the corner. I think as investors of a sort we are entitled to some kind of update good or bad. :?
