TripleA Manual Gamesave Post for game: World War II Global 1940 Balanced Mod3
Game History
Round: 3 Purchase Units - ItaliansCombat Hit Differential Summary :
There are 7 nations and I want everyone to pick one nation each. I roll 1 d100 for each player. the one with the highest picks nation first. the second highest picks second etc.
I have played the game once. I assume we are all noobs. Prioritize speed over perfection. with 7 players, its important that everyone takes their turn as soon as possible, otherwise it might take weeks before your next move. If one player doesnt take a turn within 3 days, I encourage one of his teammates to take the turn for him.
Good luck!

@dawgoneit great to have you on board
Germany
Japan
Italy
Russia
UK
China
USA
We use the latest stable release 2.5 (I’ve tried with version 2.6 and there were a few minor issues)
@Guderian1 ok. With the honor of the first pick, I will choose USA !!

all good. I back and forth between them any ways. have other games in both 2.5 and 2.6
I shall choose Italy.
Ok, I have to install 2.5 again… and read the game manual a bit …
I’ll take Russia
Which version of the map do we use? 2.8 or 3.0?
I meant… I have the manual for 2.7… is there the one for version 3.0?
@Avner we use 3.0
If you open the game notes in version 3.0 it says 2.7, so Im pretty sure they havent updated the rulebook
We use low luck - it is common and recommended for noobs because all the bonuses can make it hard to see the likely outcome of a battle
we use tech because its fun.
@Guderian1 I suppose Germany could be fine! Please link something about rules! ;)
@Caesar1 Best list of “rules” is in the game notes. In addition to this, there is strategy guide

Other tidbits can be found on those forums as well.
@Caesar1 Like surfer said. The best info is in the game notes. If you get tired of reading the rules and want to try, rather than read, heres a few important keynotes:
terrain bonuses: forests, hills and islands make it harder to attack
logistics: you can use a train to transport troops if you build tracks. or you can transport them with trucks.
construction: to construct buildings, you first need to build “material”. To build advanced ships you first need to build a “hull”.
units: various infantry may require a specific terrain feature. E.g Marines can only be built on the coast. other units may require 2 specific buildings. E.g a cruiser needs a “Factory” and “Docks” in a territory to build.
Germany are caught in extreme cold and cant move any units on the eastern front the first turn.
Use battle calculator ctrl-B to check the odds, because terrain bonuses may give unexpected results
Germany @Caesar1
Russia @Avner
Japan
China
UK
Italy @mainah
USA @surfer
That leaves the two hardest to play: UK and Japan
and the easiest : China
@dawgoneit , @Grinchveld
I’ll take UK
What country is least important to be played with competence ;)
I will have that one
@Grinchveld So China for me according to Guderian
