Great Thank you

Yes, the Banzai rule is eligible anywhere on the game board:+1:
-
@the-captain right arm :muscle: as my buddies dad from Hawaii would say before a sake shot “Banzai” lol
See how those russians like it lol
-
@the-captain Do the Me-109T and British Seafire qualify for Total War purchase the same as JPN and USA Navy Ftrs ?
The Me-262 says it does
Note 3:
When you incorporate the Optional Rules
(Section V) the German Jet fighter Me 262 is also
eligible for the Total War rule.
3 Me 262 units must be produced to achieve 1
free Me 262 unit.No mention of the others but it does say “Carrier Based Fighter” above that, so my guess is yes. Just checking before adding them.
Edit
So Germany can only have 2 max, so i guess that’s a no for them, But the Brits can have 4. So yes for them ? -
You’re right - Carrier Based Fighter units come the Total War rule.
Exception:
Since only 2 German Me109T Carrier Based Fighter units can be produced, they are not eligible for the Total War rule. -
@the-captain right arm :muscle: I’ll add the Brits then. Just finished fixing DNG . Gonna do some clarification in notes and notifications. Alter some unit images so they are less confusing when editing.
Total War was a bit off but got it sorted. : )
Anyway, maybe later today or 12-18 hours since today has different meanings for different people : )
Hope the test games are going good. Looking forward to the Game reports

@The-Captain seeing as you’re considering some new units, have you guys ever considered doing anything to the Med Islands like you did with the Pacific ?
-
Hi barnee,
We have play tested with a 1 IPC Value Increase at these islands:
- Sardinia
- Sicily
- Malta
- Cyprus
- Crete
It proved to be a major Axis advantage, since Germany and Italy can reach all islands with Landing Crafts or Paratrooper units from the Air Base in Rome.
Based on these results, the idea was dropped.
-
@the-captain right on. Yea I can see that. These Paras are really quite powerful. I mostly been using them with Italy, Germany and UK. Russia generally buys 1 early.
Have given Jpn 1 early to threaten China but not usually. Maybe late game USA get with the program. It takes so long to get them in position, you’d want to concentrate with the buy probably.

I’m assuming this was only tested in 1940 version ?
Well for me Corsica and Peloponnesus islands should be on map. With the 5 above islands plus these 2 gives you 7 islands and I use them in groups of 3 in order to get a bonus.
It shows this on my map. Just giving an option maybe down the road.
With only 5 if that’s all that are on BBR map or g40 still can do a maybe 2 or 3 group bonus.O
Only Italy or UK get the bonus money. -
@general-5-stars
Hi General,
We know your game - which is a great game.
Since barnee’s question concerns the Axis & Allies Global 1940 House Rules Expansion, my answer naturally only concerns this game.
And it doesn’t work with increased IPC values in the Med. - based on our play testing results (9 games - all with same results).

Ya I get that. My intent was not to talk about my game in your thread. Was trying to make a suggestion that’s all.
I’ll not make any suggestions or post ideas unless it’s e mail or PM.

Can Navy Fighters land on Allied Carriers ? 2 were forced to land in Queensland and want to know if I can move them to an empty ANZAC CV.
They operate under Fighter rules, so my guess is yes, but … just wanna make sure. Thanks
-
Yes - see page 32 in the Axis & Allies Global 1940 House Rules Expansion.
Only defending Carrier Based Fighter units can land in a territory if there is no friendly Aircraft Carrier to land on.
Attacking Carrier Based Fighter units must land on a friendly Aircraft Carrier - within their flight range - or be lost at sea.

As part of the Axis & Allies Global 1940 House Rules Expansion, the new Desert Army formation was play tested yesterday.
See the Global 1940 Desert Army thread for further details.
-
Sorry Im confused, do we need to buy anything to implement these rules to our game?
-
Hi Oscarlee,
Everything is included in the rulebook.
Print out the pages with the game piece symbols of each unit - cut them out - and you are ready to play.
Good luck & have fun
-
@the-captain can an paratrooper unit… for example SS… move into Iraq during non combat to activate its pro axis forces? Plan was to move from Southern Italy over to it. Thanks
-
Yes - good plan by the way.
-
@The-Captain if USA units attack from Amur while Russia and Japan Non-Aggression Pact is still in force, does it have any consequences ?
Edit
Does SRM transport 3 LMs like sea trprt or just 1 ?Landmines cannot use Air Transport – but they can
be moved by Strategic Rail Movement on the same
terms as other land based combat unitsA trprt can move 3 LMs and another unit and SRM can move the same unit, so ? It seems I may have asked this before but I can’t remember lol I thought it was only 1 but … :)
Thanks

There are no Soviet-Japanese consequences if US units attack Japanese units, from any Soviet tty.
We did discuss this, when the Soviet-Japanese Non-Agression Pact rule was play testet.
The Historical fact is, that USA were shipping Lend-Lease units to USSR in the northern part of the Pacific - even after the USA and Japan were at War with each other - while USSR and Japan were not at War.
During game play, we’ve experienced a similar scenario.
But by the time the US troops were ready to attack Japanese occupied Kwangtung from Amur, Japan declared War on the Soviet Union anayway.
Japan paid the penalty IPC - and destroyed the US and Soviet units in Amur, while Japanese Paratrooper units also captured Siberia, Soviet Far East, Buryatia and Sakar - to cut off enemy units in case there would be any survivors (which was not the case).
When Mines are transported by Strategic Rail Movement, each Mine counts as 1 unit.
The same rule applies to Rockets that are moved by Rail.
Your questions will be part of the Rules Clarification - thanks:+1:
