I had almost 80% chance of sinking the Brit Med fleet and 45% chance of taking Cairo. Rolled great against the fleet but you wiped out my amphib troops. Which is okay, since without the fleet victory, I couldn’t have taken Cairo anyway. Was worried about the Allies counterattacking the fleet. But favorable sea battle results and sea tech (rolled 3 sixes), give me an excellent defensive, but not dominant offensive naval position. France and Italy can’t afford to build a lot more ships and the USA is turns away. This is the first game that I built more Austrian ships. Bedouin raids are always risky. It worked for you this time, but attacks at 1 leave a lot to luck. I like your tactic of attacking Sinai A1 and then retreat to Mecca, dice permitting.

I’ve never put so many G inf (3) in Tyr before at the opening. It made taking Champ in force a close call, without those extra infantry to defend against a French counterattack. Had to use all 4 gas on Belg, to reduce the need for ground troops, so more could go to Champ. Russia retreat to St. Pete surprised me. Germ amphib isn’t strong enough to take St Pete or to have taken you out of Scan if you went there. Gambled in Br E Afr. Built a cruiser in Dar E Sal, instead of all ground units. Protects it from amphib for a turn. But you can out build me from India, and I need all the troops I can build in Africa. So may turn out to be a mistake. 4 more misses with tech dice, for total of ten. Allied fleets in Med being squeezed.
