Monopoly

I know that monopoly isn’t a big strategy game, but I still want to know if anybody here like monopoly enough to play by forum. Btw, there is still some strategy to monopoly believe it or not.

Get rid of the hotels, they ruin the game.

The original aim of the game was to “monopolise” the ownership of houses. Adding hotels kills this.

That is where some strategy is put in. Alot experienced players use 4 houses instead of hotels so other players cannot build alot on other properties of higher rents.

The whole idea is to create a housing shortage so nobody can buy hotels and you control the rents…

Yes. The problem though is that you have to be very lucky to ever get the chance to do so.

Id rather put a cap on house buys to 3 max.
Longer game somewhat but not a blow out sometimes.
I used to play double boards. Need to roll doubles to jump to other board. Tycoon power ! Or poor  :cry:

Cool idea SS. Im going to have to try double boards myself. Are there any special rules that I need to know?

Figure out how u want the boards to line up. You can only jump to another board by rolling doubles and only from the 2 outside rows.
I like to match them the same so board walk is harder to get to.
You could also put in if you roll doubles you have to go to the next board no matter what if your on the outside rows only.

Also depends on if you line them up the same you can go past GO collect 200 and then jump on next board going past GO and collect another 200 but now  you wanted to stay on other board but u cant now to spend money.
