'Exception while parsing'

Hello:
I just got back from vacation for three weeks, and I’m noticing that in a couple of my games when I try to open my opponent’s file I’m getting an error message saying “Exception while parsing” followed by a lot of gobbledygook about Java that I don’t understand. Essentially I can’t play when these files give that message.
Does anyone know why this is happening? We originally started playing in AAA 1.8, does this mean that they’ve upgraded to 1.9 while I was on vacation and now our files are incompatible?

I’ve got this as well, but we’ve been playing everyday. My only thought was he changed versions today or yesterday. Anyone know?

Savegames from 1.8 don’t work with TripleA 1.9.
As well 1.8 savegames as 1.8 maps are incompatible with 1.9.Mill Creeks attachment does not load in either TripleA 1.8 or TripleA 1.9.
You need to continue your 1.8 savegames and 1.8 maps with the TripleA 1.8 engine and 1.8 map.

We’ve been playing 1.9 from the start. No version change for either of us. Having the same problem in another game, too. May be something wrong with the forum.

There has been a compatibility change during the development process of 1.9.
So there are 1.9 engine versions and maps that are not compatible to the latest ones.So it is likely that you started your 1.9 game at a time before those changes were made.

No, the last update of TripleA has been 7 days ago. And the compatibility breaking changes had been implemented month’s ago.

No, I have found the issue.
The savegame has no content. It has 0 KB.Looks like the forum is out of space again!
So you need to find the latest working savegame and continue sending emails until this issue is resolved.

Yeah, forum is out of space again and all save games uploaded are 0 bytes. Someone needs to free up some space.

There are many other forum games being played seemingly fine. If it’s the forum wouldn’t it affect all? I just tried again with no luck.

In this case peoples still play via by e-mail and only sending the File for reference cross check.
One of the reason is, to be able to follow up quicker on the game and to verify that everything is played correctly.
You may play as well by email if you desire to continue rather then to wait, but Makro sure that you still Post your turn on the forum.Also for future it is helpful to create a save File or back up file.
You can do this by saving the game and Name it. -

You can easily verify the issue by downloading all the latest savegames from those games. When on your harddrive you will notice that they all are 0 kb in size.
So just empty files. -
I just continue play by email and use the forum for old time sake :)

Just send the savegames by email until this forum issue is fixed.
No software problem at all.
