@smildgeii As a point of clarification, sea zone 35 is adjacent to Philippines, sea zone 20, sea zone 21, sea zone 34, sea zone 36, sea zone 43, sea zone 44, and sea zone 45, none of which are Japanese-controlled territories at the beginning of the game. Island territories in sea zones are adjacent only to the sea zone surrounding them, so sea zone 35 is not adjacent to Hainan, Formosa, or Paulau Island, only to the sea zones surrounding them.
