I had an opportunity to play once a few days ago.
Interesting introduction into A&A.
The Hex map is a welcome change which requires practice to read correctly.

Simple and well designed game, IMO.
Plus an added GIJoe flavor, indeed.

Well, a disclaimer would be nice. Since it’s not too clear how to tag it, I suggest you just explain this above. The part about Germans ships attacking the fleet definitely felt like one of the most “AI-ish” parts to me.
