@shadowhawk Agreed. Since the Africa excursion seems to me to be an abuse of the NO, I wonder if a simple house rule saying that only Axis territories in Europe count in addition to the axis-aligned neutrals.

Or, I like this better: every territory the Russians take for this NO, instead of giving them 3 extra IPCs, doubles its worth. That makes Finland and Iraq still worth aiming for, but Africa is severely devalued. German territories would remain about the same value, since the borer ones are worth 3 anyway. Just food for thought.

@SuperbattleshipYamato Makes sense. I feel there should be a bonus if the Allies capture Normandy. 6 IPC’s of French material placed and if southern France is liberated 3 IPC’s of French material. What do you think about that. Also I like the idea of artillery in Algeria so the French also have a small offensive. Maybe a Mech Infantry in West Africa ideas on that?

In any of the normal (Europe 2nd Pacific 2nd Global40 2nd edition) games the attack on any true neutral, triggers all other true neutrals to become hostile towards the attacking force, f.e. if Germany attacks Spain, to go towards Gibraltar, All other true neutrals in South America or Africa and Middle east would become pro Allied, they could be taken in non combat movement.

I never have played a game with a Portuguese fleet, so I dont know which version that is, or what rules apply towards that game.
