I believe that the extra scramble options in PtV from both carriers and airbases - including the possibility to defend you blockers - adds a lot of nice possibilities to an already great game.

Yeah. The carrier scamble gives a nice alternative to the usual OOB/BM fleet positioning, with the possibility of multple smaller fleets supporting each other and providing air cover for blockers. Makes a nice change to those mid/late game doom stacks.

Also, the Pacific sea zones are very different, with key islands often be sited on the boundary of sea zones rather than within one, which does affect how these key points are contested.

Doing all 3 might be risky but the risk might be worth it.
Taranto is a given if you send the carrier chances of Italy scrambling are low anyway.

Toburk is also pretty easy just the naval battle before it might be tricky. You could remove the destroyer from the taranto raid to make that combat even more safe.
Or the cruiser from gibraltar if you still have it.

Dont think you need the tactical for the taranto raid, you could swap the figher for the tactical to make tobruk safer

Its 1 cruiser + 1 BB + 3 fighters ( 19attach. 6 hitpoints ) vs 1 destroyer 1 cruiser 3 fighters 1 bomber 1 carrier 18attack/ 8 hitpoints ) your first 2 hitpoints dont cost you a single die as well.

It does depend a bit on what the objective is though.
In a straight up fight yea the destroyers win by virtue of having more hitpoints.
If you would want to strafe the stack and go for 1 round and then retreat then the BB would take no damage ( the return attack would be deadly ofcourse )

I did the calculation with just BB vs destroyers as the mix of cruisers/BB actually has less hitpoints.
